Here's some news to tide you over until the Aurora Fox announces titles for its 2011-12 season: Gravity Defied co-founder Keith Rabin Jr. says subscribers who buy their tickets before May 8 will get a free pass to the company's production of the musical "A Chorus Line" scheduled for October.

Since 2009, Gravity Defied has made the Aurora Fox its home, bringing bold and brash programming to the theater's main stage and its smaller studio theater. Since starting out last year with a production of “Bare: The Musical,” Gravity Defied has worked to refine its creative approach and its larger community mission. The company has mixed bawdy selections like "The Wild Party" with family friendly selections like "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." They've also offered regional premieres of newer works like "[title of show]," which ran in the Fox's studio last fall.
The company's production of "A Chorus Line," written by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante with music by Marvin Hamlisch, is bound to continue the young company's signature style: ambitious and epic. Fox subscribers who sign up for 2011-12 tickets before May 8 will receive free tickets to the Gravity Defied show, which will run from Oct. 21 to Nov. 6.
Gravity Defied will join Denver-area companies like PHAMALy in rounding out the Fox's main 2011-12 season, which set to be revealed later today.
Gravity Defied is a program of the Rocky Mountain Arts Association, a nonprofit that encompasses the Denver Gay Mens’ Chorus, the Denver Womens’ Chorus, Out Loud: The Colorado Springs Mens’ Chorus and the Mosaic Youth Chorus.
